Sooo I can't try out the Elite Specialization and I was talking about I wanted all Hero Power's unlocked within Elite to test it out in Trial Period lvl 80. As it is you can not enable any Elite Power until you choose your character and get out of the Trial for lvl 80.

using the 80 booster only unlocks all core skills and traits, you still have to go trough a lot of hero challenges to get enough hero points in order to fully unlock your PoF elite spec. TLDR: For the most easy, quick and cheap way to explore PoF zones and blaze trough story for mounts and hero challenges for unlocking elite specs i suggest
Not Getting Hero Points. So I've unlocked every elite spec all the way for every character but my ranger. I'm unlocking hers now and only need 40 more points. Cool so that means 4 more challenges and I'm done. I'm doing ones in the heart of thorns areas, namely the robot one, the mushroom king one etc. After I've done all them though I realize
On the one hand it feels really bad to just instantly unlock all the elite specs the day an expansion launches as it leaves no progression. On the other if you force to unlock an elite spec slowly by going in with an alt with 0 hero points it feels even worse. As you can't use most of an elite spec until you unlocked the circle for 90 %. Unlock Elite Specs: Hero points allow you to unlock and train elite specialization lines like Firebrand, Herald, Holosmith. You need 250 hero points to fully train an elite spec. Acquire Targeted Skills: Use hero points to instantly unlock skills from your equipped specializations rather than training them with skill points.
Elite skill completed with all Hero points done Most meta builds for most classes except for Guardian (or Ele on staff builds) will require the full elite spec, no need for all the hero points. For the meta builds you can look on metabattle , those are decent enough nowadays.
Elite spec was release when HOT lauch as something highend, superd thing to achieve so HOT HP is hard to make it unsoloable as intent because each one give 10 point. 40 HP of all 4 HOT map is exact the number of point you need to full unlock Elite spec.
there's way more than 300 points in hero challenges all over the world. Each expansion has enough hero challenges to fully unlock the elite spec tied to that expansion (and a few challenges more, so you don't even need to do all of them), and all the ones in core tyria can be considered a spare.

Because an Assassin Elite spec for Thief would be an awful idea for Guild Wars 2. That's why I don't like it. The only reason to do it would be because a subset of players (inexplicably) seem to want it, even though Deadeye is already literally an Assassin. Take the good parts from GW1 and integrate them into GW2 where they fit. There's so many extra points available currently that you can easily have enough to fully unlock the specialization before even stepping into Cantha even if it costs 350 points instead of the 250 of the previous ones. So they'd have to do something like having a different flavor of hero points to even slow you down.

Posted March 15, 2020. Definitely yes. With how hero points currently work, it is too easy to unlock the new stuff. I already have enough hero points to unlock the next elite spec on my engineer the day it comes online, which shouldn't be a thing imo.

Do we know for sure how many hero points it'll take to unlock the full elite spec? Advertisement Coins. 0 coins. Hey, when you've hit 80, you'll have enough points to unlock all your core stuff. Now that you're playing expansion content, you'll also be able to unlock all elite specs for all classes. Try and keep an eye out for HoT Hero Point (HP) trains. All of the PoF ones can be done solo and they all reward 10 points each. You won't get any Hero Points to use toward an Elite Specialization from using a L80 Boost; just enough to fill your regular Specializations. There are many ways to obtain inexpensive Exotic gear. But, gear won't help that much if you haven't learned the game. In addition to the above, I'd suggest collecting as many HPs as you can while you level. This makes the business of collecting them for an elite spec much quicker. By the time I reach lvl 80 on a toon, I usually have about 180 spare HPs, so that I then only need to complete 7 HP points in HoT or PoF to complete an elite spec. Hero point cost Cumulative cost 1 Med Kit: Skill 2 2 2 Flamethrower: Skill 2 4 3 Grenade Kit: Skill 3 7 4 Elixir Gun: Skill 3 10 5 Tool Kit: Skill 4 14 6 Bomb Kit: Skill 5 19 7 Elite Mortar Kit: Skill 8 27
The boost just "autospent" your hero points to complete all your traits. You had 54 hero points. Well, some of those points are from leveling gains. Those were spent to complete all the traitlines. Your remaning 14 were from you doing hero points and what extra remained (if any). So you weren't shorted on any hero points.
Anyway, I don’t hate the elite spec system, although it’s rough around the edges. In terms of my specific elite spec, I’m pretty happy with Daredevil so far. Of all the builds on all the classes I’ve played in GW2 to date, it feels the most complete and cohesive. I find myself using almost all of my staff skills intelligently to make
