Hi everyone 🙂. When I start my car, the temp gauge will read correct - under 60 degrees as the screen/OBD reader will say 16 degrees. After a minute or 2, the temp gauge will shoot up to the midpoint, while the screen/OBD reader will still say its cold at 49 degrees.
No need to its normal the display will go off but the ecu is still powered up it means that the display will come on again as it powers down this takes up to 40 minutes.the light did go off as it does most people would never notice and on the mk2.5 the time its lit was reduced due to complaints if most owners were to stand and watch theyll find there display briefly comes back on

On the early Focus models the switch was mounted on the door frame next to the latch striker plate and protected by a corrugated rubber boot. This was superseded on later models by a switch
Interesting that you've had no replies to this so far, and I'm guessing it's because you already have done all the basic diagnostic steps, including confirming the 3.1v battery output (more than enough), which would often be the most common cause of a fault.
Brake Hose. The brake hose that attaches to the Focus’s caliper will often cause the brakes to stick. They may appear to be fine on the outside, but can break apart and collect debris on the inside. When this happens, it effectively traps pressure in the line. This keeps the brakes from releasing all of the way, and they stick as a result. Why doesn't the digital display for my speedometer not work on 2015 Equinox (2015 Chevrolet Equinox) in Clintonville, WI on February 24, 2018 Have you tried this to see if maybe it got turned off by mistake? The Digital Speedometer feature in the driver information center (DIC) allows the speedometer to be displayed in digital format through

If you limit the alternator charging, then you reduce ( ever so slightly ) the power needed to drive the alternator. High Mileage. I have a 2000 Focus Sony edition I bought new, should turnover 500,000 miles next week. I drive about 100 miles a day, everything on this car works as it did the day I bought it. Still shines like new, no tears in upholstery, 5 speed (changed clutch at 450K when fixing drip from seal), original CV shafts, no engine work other than Posted April 4, 2023. The speedometer must work, but there's no 'reason for rejection' covering the odometer as far as I'm aware. The fix most likely will be a replacement cluster.

What I have not seen is a solution to this issue. My 2012 base model is constantly showing 2 to 8 degrees higher than the actual temperature.

UK/Ireland Location: Sussex. Posted January 23, 2022. Hi all, I recently replaced the front wheel bearing on my MK2. I nearly gave up half way through, but it all worked out in the end. Took a few days, but not bad for first time. Here is a video of what I’ve done: On a keyless start Focus MK2/MK2.5 the PATS immobilizer functionality is controlled by the KVM (Keyless Vehicle module). The PATS functionality of the instrument cluster is disabled in the configuration. A keyless start Focus MK2/MK2.5 will even start and run without the instrument cluster connected. 1.
1 answer. I have a 2010 ford focus. Changed the battery and unable to get radio or cd to come on. The display is also blank. sounds like an anti-theft setting on the radio. look at the owners manual or search the internet to see the procedure to reset the radio. if it is not equipped with an anti-theft device, check the radio fuse in the fuse
Officially these relays are not considered to be a serviceable part. In case of a defect Ford prescribes to replace the complete GEM module/fuse box. The GEM module/fuse box however can easily be disassembled. Once disassembled the particular relay can be desoldered from the circuit board and a new relay can be soldered in place. 7. Name: Mark. I ran a second hand 06 old Focus for several years myself putting a lot of mileage on it. The positive side is that Fords are easy/cheap to get parts and relatively modifiable in various ways if you so wished due to the numerous scrapped cars. 1. Quote.

The bonnet is closing properly, just wondered if their is anything else to try. Thanks for any help.
