NFS Most Wanted 2012 will not launch on windows 11 PC through steam. I bought it and installed it through steam, when I clicked play it asked me install origin. I clicked the necessary buttons to install it and then waited for the game to launch. Except it didnt. I have been fighting with it for over a week now and it will not launch.
I would have been even more pissed, which would have probably caused a stroke. Syliss1. •. Personally, I enjoyed both. Rivals is much more open, whereas Most Wanted has city driving, though it does have some mountainous areas.

Sorted by: 1. this a problem for me too until last minute. now i solved it myself:-) here you go with the soln. start-->search typing "NFS"--> you will see a file "controls"-->open in notepad. clear the content save it empty. now you start your game. now the controls are reset. edit for your convinience. all set enjoy. Grid 2 is on sale on Steam including all DLC for $12.49. It has a demo, so you can try it first. I suggest this just in case you want to buy a game that doesn't have Criterion drifting. Most Wanted 2012 is my favorite modern NFS. Most fun i had in online matches, best open world map because having to find cars at least i had something worth exploring for, and the intro to races and rivals were creative enough that i never skipped them.
The game also features a "Most Wanted" list. There are only 10 cars here compared to 15 in Most Wanted 2005. Each car is set a Speed Point milestone. You earn speed points by winning races and escaping the cops, and just little by little from near missing traffic, jumping, and drifting.

Most cars in MW feel similar to each other, but in Carbon, a muscle car is heavy and prone to drift a lot, whereas an exotic car has a lot of downforce and handling. The canyon races are actually challenging and could be the only actual challenge in the whole game.

I have to disagree with Most Wanted 2012. I went online and found a Digital Foundry video between the PC and Wii U ports. The textures on the ground, particle effects, and shadows are much better on PC. Plus, playing at 4K natively is always a bonus. And the lighting you're talking about, that's the contrast being increased.
